ANSWER:

This has nothing to do with shirk as you are not attributing their success to their ability alone but indicating the reasons and means that led to that after Allah’s decree and approval and guidance. 

Shaykh, all Muslims believe nothing happens without the decree of Allah, if I’m speaking about someone and how good they are at there job because of xyz, I start getting thoughts to say I’m committing shirk/sinful because decree of Allah being the main reason for his success is not at the front of my mind, it’s at the back of mind but not the front
