ANSWER:

If her family are unable to afford it and there isn’t any other way to get their daughter married except by giving such money to such half men, yes you can contribute and give them. 

One of my cousin brother is taking dowry (money from the girl father to marry which is haram.i told him and try to convince but not understand.so in this case can i give some money to the girl father for help which the groom is asking and tell them to give this as dowry (dahej).

There is a brother who has asked for my hand in marriage. I am considering to ask him to memorize a surah as part of my mahr or as a condition of marriage. He agreed. Am I allowed to do this?
