ANSWER:

If its not in your possession and they would not give it to you even after you ask them to, in this case there’s no zakat on it for you. 

However, you must ask your husband to talk to your in laws and give that jewelry back to you and after that keep it in a locker in the bank and never give it to them no matter what. 

 

My jewelry are with my in laws and after my marriage they did not give me and have kept with them.Do i need to consider them(jewelleries kept with inlaws) while calcualting my contribution to zakat?
