ANSWER:

He has no right in pressuring you to reduce the mahr he had agreed to pay and obliged himself to do so! Wanting to change this after the marriage is consummated is sinful and wrong.

You can take him to court and force him to pay it if you wish!

Having said that, he is not obliged to give you any gold throughout the marriage unless he had obliged himself in the contract to do so. 

My husband never bought me any gold in our 4y marriage. My dad forced him to agree on a mahr tht he cnt give. Husband gave me some1 else gold set on my marriage nd took it back the same day.
