Ignore what he is saying as he is ignorant! What a woman pays for her makeup and beauty material is permissible as she is permitted to beautify herself for her husband and other women.

My husband loves to see me in makeup. I have quite few cosmetics which are expensive. But i brought them from my own money as im a working woman. Though my husband likes me in makeup, he doesnt restrict me from wearning them but tells that buying such things are waste of money and i will be held accountable for every penny i spend. What do i do?
