Ustadh is a teacher of anything good or bad! This is not an Islamic terminology.

Sheikh in Arabic language is an old man! This is known today to refer to scholars and also to rich men even if they are not practicing.

Mufti is the grand scholar who gives Islamic fatwa or verdicts.

Da’ee is a caller or a preacher in Islam.

Ulamaa is the plural of A’alim and he is a scholar

Kindly assist in clarifying the difference between the terms;ustadh,sheikh,mufti,daaee and ulamaa..

A fatwa, if i understand correctly is a religious ruling or decision that is given by a scholar in an Islamic topic? From what i know, women can’t be judges as in a judge in a court, but women give fatwas other than that?
