ANSWER:

It is best to give charity to poor and needy people that you know personally, like your poor relatives and acquaintances. However giving it online is also permissible if you trust that organization to give that to deserving muslims. 

Is it better to give sadaqah online through Islamic charities or should one give sadaqah in-person? Do online charities fulfill the criteria for sadaqah mentioned in the Qur’aan and sunnah?
