ANSWER:

You must not carry any flashy handbags that would draw attention and defy the purpose of hijab. Wearing a backpack would show the size of your shoulders, waste, and chest.

If you only carry it and not wear it and it is not attracting men to look at you, this is permissible.

Is it allowed for Muslim women to carry shoulder bags or back-pack? What should be taken into consideration?
