Knowing Arabic is highly recommended but it is not mandatory!

Is it a must to know Arabic as a language to perform hajj and umrah. If not, how is a person supposed to know the things that he/she should say and do without getting confused

Is it permissible to perform Umrah or Tawaf on behalf of deceased ones as my father intend to perform Umrah on behalf of my late grandfather. What about the sacrifice of animals on behalf of deceased ones on Eid ul Adha..is it also permissible or not ??
