The ayah is referring that the distance that would usually take us 1000 years to travel, things come down and go down in a short period of time.

In surah sajdah verse 5 it is stated that it takes 1 day equivalent to 1000 yrs for the affairs of this world to reach Allah swt…. Then are our deeds presented after 1000 years

I am reading English translation of the Quran, but after I am done reading a few ayahs each day, I find that I forget what I read. Is this because I am so sinful and a bad person? Is there anything I can do to improve retention of what I read from the Quran?

even when i’m reciting the Qur’an alone at room, a whisper comes to my mind that persons are listening to my recitation so i have to recite it well or correct my pronunciation or recite it fluently so that they will know that i know how to recite Qur’an fluently. All these thoughts just come to my mind, but in reality i’m alone nobody in the room that could see me. So what the stand of my recitation? Will this fall under Riyah (showing up) or what?
