ANSWER:

If the exchange happens on the spot but reaches them after 24 hours, this is ok in Sha Allah. 

I want to convert US dollars to canadian. This will be in large amounts every month. My bank says says they will charge me 3.5 percent but can make the conversion instantly. Is the 3.5 percent riba? A third party (foreign exchange) gives market rates with very little fees but it takes 24 hours to transfer due to wire times. Which is worse? 3.5 percent or 24 hour delay?
