First of all I congratulate you for accepting Islam and I ask Allah to guide you always.

Secondly, if this wedding involves evil actions such as music, mixing with the opposite sex or drinking, you must not attend even if this would make your mom sad.

Remember that her health is in Allah’s hands so nothing would happen with Allah’s permission.
Trust Allah and try to explain to her in a nice way, that this is what you believe and that you can’t please her while angering Allah.

Finally, you can visit your brother before the wedding and give him a gift and show him your love and appreciation but explain to him also that it is not permissible for you to attend such a wedding.

I m a revert sister and my brother would marry this summer .Can I participate to his wedding?My mom would get very sad if I don’t and I am afraid for her health.
