People in my native have separated in the name of Tawheed from the mosque where they practice mawlid and formed a sect named TNTJ(TamilNadu Tawheed Jamath). This sect is denying saheeh hadiths related to magic and ajwa dates and even some attributes of Allah subhanawata a’la. They understand Islam with their own intellect and they do not follow the methodology of Salaf to understand the deen. Now we have two mosque in our place. One belongs to the above mentioned sect and the other belong to normal muslims (rather I say Sufism dominated muslims). The imam of the normal muslims mosque practices and celebrates mawlid. Now whom should we pray behind? Many brothers are in confusion regarding this. It would be very helpful if you tell us whether our prayer will be valid if we pray behind these imams. Is Rumi ( the poet many Sufis are obsessed with ) part of the saved sect, i.e. Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah ? Is it permissible to consider his poems Islamic ?

Jalalul Deen Al Rumi is a deviant person and it is not permissible to read his writings or to follow him

In my locality everybody is hanafi (deobandi) and when I started praying according to sunnah they started questioning me and scolding me and they even ridicule me, thats why I stopped going to the masjid as I cant concentrate in my salah,What am I doing is correct? If not what should I do?

I heard that there were two main groups of the prophets companions, whom Allah is pleased with: ahl ar-ra’y and ahl al-hadith. As far as I know the prophet, sallallah alaihi wa salam, accepted the validity of both of them. Is this authentic and if so,on what terms were/is this free interpretation of Qur’an and Ahadith permissible?

This is not correct. all the companions of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam followed his teachings. These two groups appeared after the era of the companions onwards.

Ya sheik i was told i have a khariji understanding simply because i said that there is no muslim leader establishing the quran and the Sunnah ENTIRELY. which is in fact true,so i would like to know who are the kawarij, so i can identify them and stay away from there lectures?

If you say that those who don’t implement the Quran and Sunnah entirely are Kafir then you are one of them. but if you don’t say that they are Kafir, you are not.

It is an Islamic political party. They have a lot of good in them but their allegiance is mainly to their party. They don’t have a clear line when it comes to Islamic issues as they can have in their party Shi’ah or any other deviant sects.

The misguided sect of al-Qur’aaniyyeen. assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah! There is a deviant group of people who claim to follow the Quran only, and not the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAW). They are following the Ash’aree aqeedah that doesn’t approve all the attributes of Allah while the aqeedah of Abu Hanifah believes in all of Allah’s beautiful names and attributes.

When we see a shia do we judge them as Muslim or say “I don’t know what kind of Shia he is thus I don’t know If he is Muslim?”

It is not permissible to pray behind them and one is better off praying with other Sunni Muslims in an office or a home.
