The university’s founder is Bilal Phillips who is trustworthy so you may enroll at this college.

One of my uncles gave me a book called ‘Milestones’ by Sayyid Qutb, and he asked me to translate and copy a part of that book which he wants to give to somebody. I heard that Sayyid Qutb is known to have some faulty aqidah. Should I translate that book and assist in its distribution?

It is advisable not to do so as it is not good to be read except by highly qualified students of knowledge.

My mother regards pointing out flaws she is doing in deen as “insults”. Sometimes I argue and get frustrated. She no longer enjoys my company because I talk abt Allah SWT all the time. I don’t want to sever my relation but what can I do? She is 60+ . I worry if she doesn’t abandon her paki ways now, what will happen to her in the akhirah? Should I keep what I learn to myself and not burden her?

Look at the consequence and the result of your actions! As long as it is adding fuel to the fire and she is not accepting it, leave it and just talk with her about Worldly things that have no haram in it.

If a Muslim husband and adult son do not practice the deen although the wife always reminds them to follow the sunnh and do salah but they don’t. Is she has the responsibility and will be asked about this on the day of judgment?

No, there is no accountability on her if she tries her best to help them in following the right path and they don’t listen. It is theirproblem.

There are many people (even practicing people) who talk about Islam without knowledge, even though they know it is haram to do so. What is the ruling if happens that these people say something which they think is correct but in reality is wrong by consensus (and the matter is not from the fundamentals of the deen or the ilm ad-daroorah)? For example, many practicing sisters say that Polygamy is only allowed in times of war when women are helpless. They say this out of emotion and they know it is haram to do speak without ilm. Do they become kafir by this since they said something wich is clearly wrong (even though the matter is not from the fundamentals of Islam)?

No, they don’t become kafir as becoming kafir is not an easy thing to give! There are conditions to be fulfilled and obstacles to be removed first! If they said this out of emotions and this is what they believed to be right, they are wrong but surely not kafir.

I recommend that you focus on mastering Arabic and then studying the tafseer of the Quran and reading a lot of Sheikh Ibn Othaimeen Fatwas as this would increase your knowledge until you can study structured knowledge with a proper student of knowledge or a good teacher.
