Is it allowed to pray to Allah by doing sujud not during salat just sujud and asking Allah for a favour; what’s the ruling?

This is an innovation to make sujood for general duaa.

Sheikh there is this Fatiha done in the month of Rajab here. I don’t know what is done in this and there is an invitation for me from one of my relatives to come and attend. Sheikh so is there any Hadith or something that supports this and should I go or not?

My friend is going to open a food shop, i’m questioning this thing, is it from islam or culture? They gather making du’a safety in the shop for opening the food shop, idk what du’a they doing because i am not going for I am not sure.
