QUESTION: Mothers are very important in our life and Allah SWT ask us to respect and obey our mothers right? I want to dress modest by wearing khimar jilbab but anytime I wear my jilbab going out my mom start to saying I dress like old women and I don’t look how other hijabi girls dress. What can I do in this situation?

ANSWER: Don’t be sad, be patient as you’re doing this for Allah’s sake and He will reward you tremendously for obeying Him. Smile when she says such things and never argue or be disrespectful towards her in any situation while holding your ground when it comes to islam.

QUESTION: Sheikh, Is wearing long abaya is a sign of pride? Many people says that Bani Israel wore long dresses and felt proud on themselves?

QUESTION: Sheikh, I went to masjid for Maghrib, and found that my pant were impure, so I removed my pants completely, but i had my ground length abaya. After I prayed, I went to a nearby departmental store where there are people all the time, although my friend forbade, it was a quick visit only. Was I right to do so? and if yes, am I allowed to go out in public with just the abaya and zero undergarments?

QUESTION: Sheikh, I wanted your advice on clothing for female during summers. I live in Noida, India and one is unable to find abayas here. So for an alternative, can I wear loose over shirt above loose tucked in shirt along with wide trousers? The over shirt is loose and open and trousers are wide so that the shape of thighs are concealed. And the inside shirt will be tucked in, is this okay and right way?

ANSWER: This is not permissible! There are abayas available EVERYWHERE in India! If hypothetically speaking they are not available then you can buy them online or get them stitched!

QUESTION: Saree seems to be an attractive outfit to me.though it can cover whole body,some body parts like the bulge of butt&breast is somewhat recogniseable.is it permissible to wear saree in front of mahrams provided that no part of the body that’s not permissible to show is revealed but such bulge is recogniseable?

ANSWER: Showing part of the waist is not permissible in front of anyone but her husband as this is part of her awrah. She can wear this in front of her husband and wear a loose outer garment that conceals the shape and bone structure of her body in front of other mahram.

QUESTION: In my place people book hall for marriages, and invite many people, the woman who is about to marry puts a lot of make up and wear best clothes is it permissible? Or should she be wearing abaya?

ANSWER: If such gatherings are segregated and no one would see her except other women, there is no problem in that. But if there is a possibility of a non mahram man to see her, this is totally prohibited.

QUESTION: If i pray wearing long gown which covers the top of feet, but bowing causes it to move backward slightly, so toes become visible, remaining foot is covered, is this allowed?
