I got to know about my friend’s past and I advised her to repent and to never fall into the haram relationships.She was very guilty and was not accepting that she was into haram before.To make her feel better,I told her a gist of what wrong I did in my past. Now I am feeling bad that I told her a little of my past too. I repented to Allah and my friend has repented too. But still its killing me.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to expose your sins nor do you have any right in asking about her past. What you did was very wrong and sinful! You can’t do anything about it now except repenting and asking Allah for forgiveness.

ANSWER: No, it is not. This is not thinking well of Allah and despairing of His mercy. Seek refuge in Allah from hell while asking Him for paradise. Repent and show remorse before it is too late.

Many people here believe that children will have to suffer for the wicked behaviour of their parents. They say that if someone does harm to another person or cheat him the Cheater’s child would bear the consequences and vice versa. Is there any reality in this.

ANSWER: This is not true.

Will a person be forgiven if he did shirk/kuffar 3 times or more. I am praying salah and trying my best to do everything that will please allah but this worry that Allah will not forgive me because of shirk/kuffar is eating me up inside.

ANSWER: The number has no impact on forgiveness. If you die in the state of kufr or shirk, you will be in hell for eternity. If you repent, show remorse and never go back, Allah will forgive you.

My question is if i do a sin and i know that my Lord is watching yet i still do it.Because this happens everytime i do a sin.Will the deeds be erased.its impossible not doing a sin so what should i do?

ANSWER: You can’t expect people to justify your sins and give you a cart blanche to sin! You should repent from the sin once you realise that you have sinned. A person who repents is like the one who did not sin.

Since I found out bad deeds can cancel out good deeds I have lost motivation to do anything but obligations, since I had so few good deeds anyway but now even those probably won’t count.

ANSWER: Yes, in sha Allah as Allah forgives all sins if a person repents sincerely, with deep remorse.

What’s the point of repenting if I’m still gonna sin repeatedly? Isn’t the point of repenting to give up all the sins you’ve done and promise Allah sincerely to never get back to them? Repenting then later on go back to the same sin over and over again is playing with Allah as if he’s a joke and not taking him seriously that’s absolutely ruins the whole purpose of repentance to begin with…

ANSWER: Such things are not related. Whenever Allah wills to punish people for their sins, He does what He wills and postpone others to the day of judgement.
