ANSWER:

People are either optimistic or pessimistic! Instead of being happy and striving to do as many good deeds as you can because this erases your bad deeds, you decided to despair from Allah’s mercy and sit back and wait for going to hell. It is your choice at the end of the day and you have no one to blame but yourself and your laziness. As long as you repent sincerely to Allah with deep remorse, your good deeds would be restored. 

Since I found out bad deeds can cancel out good deeds I have lost motivation to do anything but obligations, since I had so few good deeds anyway but now even those probably won’t count.
