I know it is permissible to keep owl at home. But do owl bring magic or jinns home? are owls used for magic and not good to keep at home?

ANSWER: This is baseless. It is not permissible to believe in omens as this is a form of shirk.

In my locality I found some people who talked about to become a mureed from a very good scholars. So I just want to know what is actually means a Mureed? and is it prohibited to become a mureed?

ANSWER: This is absolutely not permissible and it is the way of Sufis.

Allah says “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it” (Qur’an 99:7) And from some hadith we know that every good deed will have AT LEAST 10 times of rewards. BUT, does this include the good that people do for showing off? Meaning, will there be rewards but not as much as when people do something in secret and/or for pleasing Allah?

ANSWER: There’s no reward for doing something of the ibadah to show off, in fact he will be sinful for that act.

shaykh i was reading tib e nabwi(the prophetic medicine) by imam ibn qayyim and there i found in the book a chapter which is based on healing wounds by taweez….so can we heal/treament our diseases by taweez?another question is can we use amulets which has quranic verses in it?

Sheikh, Here in India, I met this person who claimed to be a Raqi, I met him, I asked him to show what he can do, He asked my name and my mothers name. After telling him he started writing something on his hand with his fingers and literally interpreted that I had a dream a few days back! And what my friends had planned, how did he get this info?

ANSWER: No one knows the unseen except Allah. This man is either an imposter and a soothsayer or he knows your husband and he is lying to make him look good in front of you! How can anyone know whether your husband is telling the truth or not?

ANSWER: Sufis are levels and different sects! Some are Muslims and have few innovations and others are disbelievers and mushriks.

Is it halal to use gems to help cure you with the permission of Allah. Because gems have energy forced on them for thousands of years underground so they are able to fix some of our sicknesses. Is this permissible and why or why not.
