I know that if a man pray sitting on a chair its not allowed for him to prostrate on a pillow or a table in front of him, but if he do so is his prayer valid?

My question is regarding the 4 rakat Sunnah prayer of zuhr that is prayed before fard prayer. Should we pray the 4 rakats Sunnah together like the fard or should we separate them into 2 rakats by offering salam in between?

Does one have to pray the two rakaat before sitting while the imaam is delivering khutbah?

ANSWER: No problem for children. However if he is going to annoy worshipers, you must not take him.

I have two mosques in my area.On friday in one mosque two adhaans are given and the imam gives 1st khutabah and sits on the minbar for a while & gives 2nd khutabah & iqaamah and then salah.In 2nd mosque 1 adhaan is given and imam gives only 1 khutabah while standing and iqaamah & then salah.Which one is acceptable acc. to sharia evidence.

ANSWER: The First masjid is following the sunnah and is correct! The second masjid Friday prayers is invalid according to some scholars for not giving two khutba.

The brother beside me, May dislike some sunnah in salah, 1)may not know to touch feet,shoulder and feel too clumsy by this and may distract in this case and also 2)when i point finger in the sitting position, 3)saying “ameen” loud,although should i perform these sunnah knowing nereby people dislike it? Or should it be a part of distractions for others,should i be sinful for overconfidence?

ANSWER: You must not be influenced by others for not performing your sunnah in salah. Follow the sunnah and don’t pay attention to others.

I dont speak Arabic but I read Arabic well. But sometimes when I pray I get stuck on some letters – like ض + ع + ح + when they don’t come out right i will try to repeat the word to correct. I dont really have this problem when I recite loudly so because I know how it should be pronounced do i keep attempting to quietly say it right (even if it takes lots + lots of attempts)?

ANSWER: You should not prolong your salah due to correcting your pronunciation in salah. You must try hard to perfect your pronunciation outside your prayers.

Do I still have to pray Tahiyyatul Masjid even if I’m attending the masjid for a class?

ANSWER: Yes, you must pray 2 rakahs before sitting down if the class is in the Masjid.

Asr prayer is at 6 and jamaath is at 6.45. Becuase i am getting late for work i read it at home at 6 because there is no mosque at work. After i have prayed i was told my shift is cancelled and not to go work. Can i then make it to the mosque for asr jamath and read again since ive alreadyed prayed alone?

ANSWER: The prayer is done and you can’t repeat it.

A sister living in a country that follows Hanafi madhab recently learned of raising hands at certain points during prayer. She was taught only to raise hand during opening takbeer which isn’t the way taught by the Prophet. Her Parents noticed her change in prayer & are very upset & against it. Should she obey her parents & continue praying acc. to hanafi madhab even though its against sunnah?
