My cousin asked me that she was in her fifth day of menses & it had completely got over but she had not yet taken ghusl. that night she had intercourse with her husband. what is the ruling on it? please explain it so she could take care not to repeat such a thing. is there any expiation required?

The expiation is that the man has to pay sadaqah or charity. He has to give expiation of what equals 4.25 grams of gold.

Sheikh, in shaaa Allah I will be going in labour in the next couple of days. I want to know after my contractions start even if the water breaks do i need to continue my salaah until the baby is fully born. Please kindly explain at what point I can actually stop performing salaah.

You can stop praying only when there is bleeding before the actual delivery.

Sheikh it’s really an urgent question. Sheikh I got my periods 9 days back nd still I have yellow discharge. It seems like white but wen I keep it on a white surface it’s yellow in color . From sterday nyt nd today morning I din find any discharge but during zuhr time I had yellow discharge again so I din take my ghusl. What shall I do sheikh?

If you saw complete dryness for half a day, this is enough and you should take your ghusul.

im confused about periods, on the 7th day the blood finishes and I see browish resideu and then yellow, on the 8th day in the evening I had ghsul and then then the next day I saw some yellowish residue that I see after period but it was not there on that day, is my fast and prayers not accepted? Do I have to redo my ghusl? If one sees brownish yelloish after blood is ghusl valid

You must not take ghusul until you see your purity which is recognized by the white thread like discharge or by total dryness.

in a hadith i read about using misk after menses. Is this a specific misk or can this be the same women use for the neck?

I delivered a baby boy on 14 May 2016 and have been continously spotting/bleeding since then.( In between I don’t remember exactly if it stopped or not). It’s already been more then 45 days. I’m confused AS to the bleeding right now is menstruation or not? Because it has been a continous bleeding series (sometimes more sometimes less) So my question is can I offer my prayers & fast.

A woman is pure from her menses after she sees a white discharge or complete dryness. If she didn’t see this, she is still in her menses.

I heard on umdatul ahkaam you saying that women can’t enter masjid in menses. I live in New Jersey. I volunteer on every Sunday to teach children about Islamic teachings. In our masjid we teach the children in basement were we don’t perform salah only we give the classes so is it ok for me to go there only in basement to teach the children wheni have menses

If it is a separate place and it is not part of the masjid, this is permissible. But if is part of the masjid and that they use it to pray in it on Fridays or Eids, this is not permissible.

If she sees the flow of the blood, she must stop until the total days of bleeding exceeds 15 days. Once this happens, she takes ghusul and prays and fasts and consider it to be istihada until the regular time of her menses.
