ANSWER: You can simply say thank you. No problem in eating halal food sent to you on their birthdays, even cake, without you participating in such functions or gatherings.

QUESTION: Should we enter the bathroom with left foot if it is a separate room from the toilet? I heard you say in the series going through Bulugh al Maram that we enter the toilet with our left foot because we are about to do an act that is not honourable. So what foot should I enter my bathroom to perform wudu or shower?

ANSWER: If there is a toilet in that room, you should enter with your left foot.

QUESTION: You said it’s sunnah to recite Bismillah when starting something significant. So if i forgot to say Bismillah when for eg. starting to study or when starting the vehicle, should i say “Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu” like we do when we forget to say Bismillah before eating.
