A girl has met a boy for marriage. She liked the boy as she found him mentally compatible with her but the boy doesn’t offer all prayers but offers only Friday prayers.The parents are very much interested that she should marry him as everyone they enquired from talked high of the guy. Can she marry a boy who doesn’t offer all prayers but only Friday prayers?

She should look for a good practising man. Such a person is not a good Muslim as some scholars say that he is not Muslim at all if he doesn’t pray except Friday.

A young mother who is expecting another child is insisting to take her 2 year old son to witness the actual childbirth. Everyone in the family is very distressed by this thought. However, the mother would listen to an advice from a scholar regarding this matter. Your advice will be appreciated

This mother is doing something wrong and it is prohibited to allow her son to be present when she gives birth! Putting the child through such a trauma is evil and sadistic

Two years ago, I found some necklace of cross at home, I don’t know how it got there, maybe in childhood my family found them from somewhere. But we have given that bag of necklace to one of our Christian neighbour.I feel like me and my family had commited a major sin.What should I do? I did repent to Allah but my heart & mind are always occupied by this incident.

It was wrong to give it, if it was a precious metal you should have melted it to change it into something else, or destroy it and dispose of it otherwise.

Is it a sunnah replying for adhan? If yes then please can you tell me how and what to reply?

When the Adhan is called, repeat it with the caller, except for “Hayya ala-salah, hayya alal-falah” , after which you say “La hawla wala quwatah illa billah “.

Sometimes I cannot see videos in a certain website because they are restricted for whatever reason in my country. Can I hide my ip address to watch those videos?

If they are beneficial and Islamic, this is permissible.

Can I go into a restaurant where the music is played in the background, and where the alcohol is served. I am not involved in music neither I consume alcohol. I am simply going there to have my lunch or dinner because that specific restaurant serve the best food and also the food is halal?

I asked my dad to use the computer about making Qur’an cds for my friend and he said no, and I don’t think I can find another computer. My sister doesn’t have these restrictions because she isn’t Muslim and before I started practising I didn’t either. Would I be sinning at all if I make the cds?

Is it permissible to greet by saying hello a non believer (who is neither friend nor an enemy )? (Shaik I am saying about morning walkers whom we meet daily while walking daily in India) I am keen to know.

This is permissible but for same gender. If you are a women, you can’t greet non mahram men.

If my parents ask me to help them get food which I am not sure is halal (and which I think probably isn’t halal), is it permissible for me to disobey them?

If there is no reason to believe that it’s haraam then you can get it. You can inquire about it’s provenance. If there is reason to suspect it then you should disobey them but be very diplomatic with them.
