Is it permissible to greet by saying hello a non believer (who is neither friend nor an enemy )? (Shaik I am saying about morning walkers whom we meet daily while walking daily in India) I am keen to know.

This is permissible but for same gender. If you are a women, you can’t greet non mahram men.

If my parents ask me to help them get food which I am not sure is halal (and which I think probably isn’t halal), is it permissible for me to disobey them?

If there is no reason to believe that it’s haraam then you can get it. You can inquire about it’s provenance. If there is reason to suspect it then you should disobey them but be very diplomatic with them.

Some people say that if someone laugh in burial place or in front of the janaza (at the house of the dead person), will have her face burn in the day of resurrection. Is this true?

It is not permissible for a female to be in contact with him. Refer him to a masjid.

There has been a marriage proposal come through for me and mum is unsure whether she should accept. Is it ok for her to do istikhara for guidance on whether she should accept this proposal for me?

She can pray it after taking a decision to meet the people for example. However,the main one to make istikhara is you as you are the one to get married.

One shouldn’t say that. This is like saying he is kafir and this is not permissible as it will go back on one of you two!

When I listen or watch Islamic videos, some of my close relatives give a really heart broking comment. that : By listening to such and such you may lead to terrorism and suicide bombing etc. . My family is Muslim but still they’ve this kind of sense and thinking. How to deal and react with them?

I keep wanting to rush knowledge, and jump from one lecture to the next, rush one book and to the next, etc. I want to get as much knowledge as possible to increase iman and refute doubts. I have no consistency. see a nice online course, I want to do it, I do part of it then move on. What advice can you give me?

I am a new muslim and my parents & my brother are non-muslims. My parents are needy but my brother does not give them any money because he got into huge debt because of them. Should I spend on my parents? When they get very old, should i live with them and take care of them if my brother doesn’t?

Yes, you have to support them and help them as much as you are able financially, while you don’t short spending on your own self and family.

I sit with my parents, my father says nasty things about others and I stop him to the best of my ability, it does stop then it starts again then I stop him then he started again then I stopped him, for the 3rd he did it again I stood up to leave then he promised to stop. Did I do the right thing?
