Backbiting

There’s a lot of backbiting and gossiping in reality shows, If i watch it and hear someone backbite/gossip, does all my good deeds go to the person that’s being backbited on?

Sheikh, a famous boxer has a wife that has her own youtube channel. They are muslim. She makes makeup videos. Lately i noticed she looks different her lips are very big unnaturally. I told my sister “she looked much better without surgery and i think she got lip injections” is this backbiting? She is a famous person

If someone tells me something about a third person and ask me not to disclose to anyone else then if I tell it to a fourth person will I be sinful?

Yes! Besides, listening to what he has to say about that third person is most likely back-biting and you are sinful for listening to him, unless there is a legitimate reason.

We were went to vocation for 1 mounth so we stayed in my uncles house but wife of my uncle she is very bad. She likes to gossip about others she likes to takes things from others etc… After vacation I kept inside of me but recently I told my aunt and other realatives that’s she is very bad person she said this about you and etc..

You should apologize to her unless this will cause more harm than good, and talk nice about her in front of the same peoples you backbite her before.

Is it BACKBITING if a muslim woman tells her “husband” and other sisters etc. about a sister she went to visit at a hospital that was BREASTFEEDING her newborn infant at a hospital. She told the breastfeeding mother that its forbidden to breastfeed in front of others. How true is this?

This is not backbiting unless the other woman hats people to know that about her. Breast feeding is permissible in front of other women providing she is properly covered.

if we share any funny incident of people, without knowing them and without taking their name, and we laugh at it . . is it backbitting? Since we don’t take or know their names !

Wa alaikum assalam, Backbiting is to mention the faults of someone while he is not present and slandering means making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation.

I used to backbite in my jaahiliya. I have Full regret now. ASked repentance for my self and for the one i have backbitten about with full deep repentance in my heart. Will this be sufficient inshaAllah

If i want to say something about someone,,Does it come under gossiping/slandering as long as i dont pick the names specifically.or can i say “someone said like this, someone did this ” Is the later part allowed?
