I am a revert. My parents have doubt about this and they told me that they disown me if I continue practicing Islam. Now I pray and fast without their knowledge and I hide everything from them. Is this wrong since I’m not being truthful about my religion?

ANSWER: Be steadfast and try to get married soon so you could leave them and practice Islam freely. You must not pretend you are not muslim just to please them if there is no real threat to your safety.

Sheikh what should i do when someone breaks my heart many times i forgive them but they again break my heart and im not that strong to handle this what should i do? Should i ignore them?

ANSWER: You should learn how to keep your distance from people and never to let your guard down. This way, even if you are stabbed in the back or betrayed, you were ready for that and won’t be hurt as much.

Sheikh, im 10 years old from India, i am only one practising in my Family, none of them practise Deen nor make me do it, so what should I do as my mum birthday is reaching and my sis is forcing me to do decorations for it? How should I refrain? Also how I stop myself from watching TV?

ANSWER: You must not join nor help them in decorating for such Haram events nor participate in these gatherings and celebrations. There’s no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of disobedience to Allah.

Many of us girls have formed a group to read the Qur’an, every day everyone has to read it half–half parah and by doing this our Quran Sharif is completes in 4-5 days… I want ask you is this is permissible like this?? Will a person be rewarded for reciting the entire Qur’an or only for what he has read?

Sheikh! Our neighbors send us food every year on the occasion of thier elder’s death day for their “eesaal E sawab” Will it be halal for us to eat??

ANSWER: No. Whatever was not corrected by Allah is a revelation. There are times that he had made ijtihad and later corrected by Allah.

If a stranger man extends his arms to shake hands with a muslim woman, then she bows her head down lightly and apologises to reject shaking hands, is this light bowing down of head only without back (not ruku’) considered haraam or shirk ? Knowing she is only doing it to reject politely, and only lightly tilting her head without back and not doing full ruku’.

ANSWER: She is sinful for being in such a position in the first place and for responding to that man’s gesture and for nodding her head like that! This is not kufr but sinful.

Sheikh, I took one credit card before 10 days which is a cash back credit card , in every use from this card, bank will give me (up to 5%) cash back money ! My question is, I took this card only to help poor people, whetever when I will get receive profit/rewerd in this credit card i will give all the money to poor people without any sawab from allah , so it will be a sin for me?

ANSWER: What you have done is totally prohibited. It’s not permissible to get this if it’s not a necessity.

If i say to someone for eg, if i beat u at this game (playstation game or any other game) you have to wash my car for me…is this gambling or permissible because there’s no money involved?

My mum went to a mall on friday between 10:30 am – 2:30 pm. I am worried she might’ve purchased some of my things during jummah. I tried to find receipts to verify the time, but I couldn’t. Should the sales be invalid what should I do? I can’t return the items as the receipts are discarded and some of the items she’s opened. Should I give their value to charity or discard them or what?
