This is not permissible, as she has her religion and you have yours. Simply explain to her that this is not allowed in Islam.

Assalam’ alakum. Is it permissible to accept the invitation of our maid (who is abuddist) to attend their New Year tea party. They have been working forus for 50 years now. have arranged this particularly for us and will feel as if we don’t care about our maids if we don’t attend.

I have 51 years and i accept islam alhamdulillah few months a go.I have 2 chrestian children (28 and 16 and they live with me))and tomorrow they have Feast. Practicaly this is the first time when i faced problems,i dont know how to deal with them.I will not dye eggs for them ,and i will not join them,but my question is can i make some sweats for them? Before someday, a Hindu man came to me and asked money as help. He said that his father is dead and he need some money to perform a post-incineration ritual for his dead father. As he said that he was poor, I have him some money, it was very little amount. But after that I become frustrated thinking that was it a sin or not as my help will be used in a non Muslim rituals? But I gave him thinking that I am helping a poor. Now please tell me what is the ruling and what should I do for tawbah?
