This is not permissible.

Zakat should be given to poor and needy muslims in cash, in their hands for them to use it as they want.

I need to know that can i pay zakat to a bride in shape of her bridal stuff and to poor family in shape of food stuff and clothes or i need to pay in shape of money only

I had not given zakath from past 2 years as I wasn’t aware about it. But now when I came to know about it my husband refuses to pay saying in shafi mazhab no zakath for the gold we wear and he wants me to wait until june when he’ll return hometown and discuss with scholars. So kindly let me know is it sinful to wait until June or should I pay now without letting him know.
