By mistake i broke my fast twice before maghrib,thinkng that maghrib adhan must be called uptill now,it was 14fast from 2consecutive months of expiation,do i have to make up this1fast in end or 14 again?as 2 months now r about 2 complete

ANSWER: If you broke your fast on the assumption without a legitimate reason, this fast is void and it interrupts the fasting of the 2 consecutive months. You should disregard that day and what was before it and count the day after it as day 1.

My grandmother is in hospital For 2.5yr her all organs are in proper working but she has problem with her lungs thats why she is often on ventilator but she is often conscious , recognises her family now doctor recommend to switch off the ventilator and they will gv her medicine due to which she won’t be conscious so is it halal to switch off the ventilator even except lungs all organs are working

Sheikh I want to ask u that is wet wiping of drop of impurity until it is gone from body with wet hand is enough or we have to wash it?

My friend owes me some money and his financial condition is now in so bad shape that he cannot repay my money. Now I want to excuse him from giving me my money and want to treat this as zakat. Can I do this ? To qualify as zakat do I have to again give him money to repay me his dues ?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as there is a clear conflict of interest here. Give him your zakat if he is poor or needy but you can’t cross out his debt from zakat money!

Pls if i miss one rakah of isha prayer, do i need to pray that missing rakah aloud or silent with only fatiha

ANSWER: You should pray it silently for 2 reasons; if this is your 3rd and 4th rakah which by default are silent and because you don’t want to annoy other worshipers who are reciting the Quran as well.

Can scented soaps and shampoo be used in Ihram state?

ANSWER: No problem in using normal soaps and shampoos.

I have a wound in my forearm..so I do tayammum by beating on the wall without going for any mud..is my tayammum valid..?Is using mud compulsory for tayammum? if not valid, should I repeat this Salah after recovery as the wound is on the tayammum organ itself?

ANSWER: This is not valid. If there is a bandage over this wound, you must perform normal wudhu and only wipe over the bandage.

Thank you for advising me to read surah mulk before going to bed to save from grave torment, if i am on my period, can I read it from my mobile and also do I need to be in state of wodhu in order to read it.

ANSWER: You can definitely read this while in menses and no need to be in the state of wudu for doing the Adhkars.

I am confused if I should wait for the interview from a company or I should go to another city and look for job. For this reason can I pray ishteqaara 2 units after isha and wake up for tahajjud since I really want that job and ask allah swt for that job

ANSWER: Istekhara is not done to decide between two different things. After you have made up your mind about something then istekhara is prayed to seek Allah’s counsel whether this decision is good for you or not. It is not permissible for a woman to travel without her male mahram.

Sheikh, can you write for me the dua after any calamity like muswiba which Allah will reward me for something better. You said it was recited by umm salama(ra) after her husband died after reciting it Allah gave her prophet (saw).
