ANSWER: Your mother has no right in telling you to sever your contact with your father. You must visit and call him and can do this without telling her to prevent upsetting her.

I sometime wake up late for fajar salat but when I do wake up I read straight away, and I read 2 Rakat sunnat and 2 Rakat fard is that right or do I just read fard only thank you

ANSWER: If you wake up before sunrise and you are able to finish it all before it begins to rise, this is the right thing to do. But if you wake up and there is very little time to pray, you must pray the fard first and then pray the sunnah.

My grandma has a suspicion that my someone has done the evil eye on my child. So forth she grabs an egg, prays on it and circle it around the child and cracks it outside or in the sink. Is this an authentic way to remove superstition or is it just innovative.

While was travelling during Ramadan in train I didn’t fast with the intention that I will make up the fast. I would be honest the journey was comfortable although it was nearly 300km. Is this against the sunnah ?

ANSWER: No problem in not fasting while traveling as Allah has given you the concession. However, it’s best if you fast if there’s no hardship on you.

I posted some thing about the Prophet SAW claming him to be a human not noor of Allah. I got really negative response to my post. I am living in hanafi mazhab community but my aqaids are different from them. Allah knows best My brother prohibited me to post such islamic things on facebook or any other social media. I live abroad. So I call my relatives to uphold the ties of kinship only for the sake of Allah. But they do not receive my call. They don’t even reply to my messages where “assalamualaikum” is written. Am I getting rewarded for this? And are they sinful? If I am not being rewarded, I won’t do it anymore.

ANSWER: Dealing justly and with the best manners with one’s family is prescribed in Islam. Avoiding one’s household members without a reason is not permissible. A strong believer who mixes with people and is tolerant to their abuse is better than a muslim who doesn’t.
