A woman can’t get married without the consent of her wali, even if she is divorced or a widow. What counts is her guardian’s consent who is usually her father or elder brother. 

Separated woman (my friend) and married man wants to get married. The mother of the woman is against to their plan because shes afraid that one day he’ll just leave her daughter. According to the man, It is ok to marry until 4… according to the woman she has the right to choose a partner because she is separated. Who is right? Whats the right thing to do?
