There’s no need for that as you wouldn’t know who all she told lies about you to (if she actually did). Ignore all this and don’t let her demoralize you or depress you. Move on and concentrate on making your own married life beautiful and ignoring her would be enough for her to leave you alone as finally she will realize she doesn’t have any affect on you.

islam says if someone accuses u, u shud clear ur blame like yusuf alaihis salam esp if u are a daee.i am.My mother in law has told horrible lies abt me to my whole inlaws,friends, neighbors.am heart broken. If I write emails to clarify this & tell everyone she lied,am afraid my husband would dislike & SHE will turn more nasty & dangerous.is it necessary i clear blame to everyone?

sheikh I live with my mother in law and I try to keep a balance in our relationship although she has her mood swings and loves picking up fights and commenting thins I dislike infact Ishe would not even reply to my salam despite having reminded her several times…It hurt me such that of late I stopped giving her salam as she wouldn’t reply.
