QUESTION: If someone’s pet cat dies, it is permissible for that person to recite durood in the ear of that cat? Nowadays people are doing this. Is there any hadith concerning this matter?

ANSWER: This is an innovation and can mount to mocking the sunnah as such a dead animal can’t hear nor benefit from such recitation!

QUESTION: Is it permissible to offer 2 rakat of nafl everyday for the prophet pbuh, similar to reciting durood and sending blessings and peace upon him.
