Thanking Allah is done by thanking Him, praising Him and by doing good things.

If you thank Allah generally, this is sufficient.

But when there is something that is unusual and you thank Allah for it specifically, this is better.

When we thank Allah in our du’aa, is it better to thank Allah for specific things or for everything in general with one statement? Is it better to thank him in our du’aas or with Allahu Akbar, Alhamdullilah, Subhannallah?
