If it is for seeking advice and to find a way for helping him, this is not backbiting.

When one of our sons, grown up and married, violently mistreat his children in our very presence, we being helpless as when we say or advises, he gets more violent, then out of grief, if we discuss this matter in his absence with family, well wishers; does that come under back biting?
