ANSWER:

Yes. However if it is braided then you do not have to open it for the ghusl to remove sexual impurity. Just soak it with water. 

When doing ghusl after intercourse we know that water should reach the hair root. But is it necessary to wet rest of the hair? I mean to the root to tip?the whole hair? If the hair is braided and water does not reach inside the braid,does it invalided the ghusl?
