It is not permissible to transport a body from one country to another as this would cause the body to rot and it brings a lot of hardship on the family. Besides, this wasn’t the Sunnah.

If there is a Muslim graveyard, she should be buried there

When a person goes for treatment to a foreign (kafir) country and he/she dies, should he/she be buried there or is it allowed to send his body to his home country (ie Meccca) for burial? As far as I know, Islam insists that a person should be buried immediately as far as possible no matter which country he/she is in. Can you refer me to any hadith?
