One is not an apostate if you have been praying on and off or few times
every now and then! However, if you have not prayed at all, then this
might be apostasy. However, your coming back to practicing Deen is a
good news Alhamdulillah. Repent from your acts sincerely in addition to
performing your daily duties. Making ghusul will not harm you!

When a muslim who hasnt been praying for a number of years even after reaching the age of puberty, eventually starts practicing the deen alHumdulilah. my question is did they need to do a ghusl because i heard if a person apostates, they have to do ghusl to return back, not sure if a person is classified to be an apostate
