ANSWER:

You must not fulfill it if it’s an innovation and must expiate for breaking the oath.

What to do if intention/ Niyat is made for any good deeds and then we come to know that it’s innovation, so do we need to break that intention/Niyat and is there any kaffara/compensation for breaking intention of good deeds?
