Adoption is prohibited in Islam! You can support and sponsor an orphan but not adopt one.

what is the ruling if a woman wants to adopt children but her husband disagree? I would like to adopt orphans from syria but unfortunatly I find that a lot of muslim men never want to adopt because they want to have their own children, isn’t this selfish?
