If one abandons praying then it takes a person out of the fold of Islam!

This ruling is only for drinking alcohol or intoxicants, like drugs and not for eating pork.

We know that eating pork or drinking wine means our good deeds won’t be accepted for 40 days. Does that mean we don’t have to pray for these 40 days even if we do they won’t be accepted. Please clarify.
