Ashura is not related at all to the death of Hussain, may Allah be pleased with him and all the companions.
We fast because it’s the Sunnah and Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam used to fast it because Musa alaihissalam was granted victory by Allah against Pharoah and his people.
