This is not permissible. If you refer to a star sign it means you
believe in it and making shirk.

This question is regarding astrology, a man used to read about astrology before Islam and believed that some star signs apply to some people, now Alhamdulilah he has studied aqeedah and realised this is shirk and falsehood but has some doubts when communicating with people and he refers their personality to a star sign, what is the ruling regarding this?
