Abû Bakr said to him: “O Messenger of Allah, my waistcloth slips down if I do not pay attention to it.” He said: “You are not one of those who do it out of pride.” [Related in full in Sahîh al-Bukhârî (5784) and partially in Sahîh Muslim (2085)]
So if i wear my pants below the ankles without having pride is that OK or ?

Abu Bakr had the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam give him a certificate of innocence by telling him that he was not among the arrogant.
You and I don’t have this privilege. Therefore, if you wear them below the ankle, this will be punishable in hell.
