Assalamu alaykum, I understand that the Prophet use to fast most in Sha’ban but i want to know if he (saw) use to fast the first two weeks of Sha’ban. Some people fast the first 2 weeks or it’s an innovation?

Wa alaikum assalaam No, it is not an innovation as there are some hadeeth a recommending the fast the first half of it but scholars say that this is if a person was going to be weak to Fast Ramadan. The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam used to fast most of Shaaban.

can fasting for the previous ramadan can be make up even after 15of shaban? If one made niyyah for the make up of ramadan and couldnot fast as he did not eat saher,is there any fidya to be given ?

No fidyia must be given. He has to make up that day and ask Allah’s forgiveness. Also he may fast after 15 shaban no problem.

Please can you explain this hadith because this says to fast on 15th shaban. Imran b. Husain (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace he upon him) having said to him or to someone else: Did you fast in the middle of Sha’ban? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: If you did not observe fast, then you should observe fast for two days.
