ANSWER:

If she didn’t know the ruling, Allah will not hold her accountable for something she did out of ignorance or forgetfulness.

After knowing the ruling, she must cover properly before praying or her prayer would be invalid. 

Someone I know used to cover her awrah while praying without wearing socks and any outergarment in salwar kameez is her prayer valid?
