Doing this on thy night is an innovation that wasn’t done by the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa salla or his companions.

Sir I want to ask you wether it is permissible to do extra ibaadah and give sweets, clean the house/scent the house, qayam al layl etc. Because I am from Bangladesh and all my family does it too.
