Sheikh,Here in India current banks are offered to businessmen and almost all accounts are with riba. There is a bank offering no interest account but its quite far from my home. I contacted banks but they won’t give me current acc. Can I make use of saving acc and donate interest?

ANSWER:

No problem in this if you don’t have the option of current account and there is no Islamic bank in your city.

And if you get any interest from it, it’s haram money and you must dispose this off to poor and needy Muslims in order to cleanse your wealth, without anticipating any reward for it. You cannot benefit from it nor buy gifts for your family and friends with it.

I have gained profit from FDR. I know that if I use the money it will be as I’ve consumed riba but can I use that money to help someone perform Umrah or for their treatment and also donate in madrasah ?
