Sheikh, whenever we get a new chauffeur or a car, my mother in law uses it. She has her own car and chauffeur Alhamdulillah but whenever we hire someone new or get a new car for ourselves, my mother in law starts using it without even asking unless her one is better. It gets very hard for me to give directions to a new one. I have been keeping patience but now it’s becoming too much. What should I do?

let her be – So what if she used it first? Next time, ask her openly if she’d like to use the chauffeur or the car first? This will soften her heart.

You must be respectful, however, if this becomes a bigger issue, speak to your husband about it to find a solution without hurting his feelings. If she uses your car, take her car.
