ANSWER:

No, this is not correct. 

The iqamah or the prayer at the masjid has no effect on your prayer. You can pray as soon as the time for fajr enters regardless of when the iqamah is given in the masjid. 

 

Sheikh, on our side women follow this practice even when praying at home. After the fajr adhan we pray sunnah and then wait till the iqama is done in majid and then only pray our fardh. Is this correct?
