What she’s saying is baseless and she’s talking about Islam without knowledge.

If a man cannot afford udhiya, he’s exempted from offering the sacrifice. His wife has no duty whatsoever to provide money for him to give udhiya. 

 

Sheikh my sister’s sil says that it’s compulsory on her husband to offer the udhiyah every year (on his name only)…and she also says that if he can’t afford the udhiyah money it’s mandatory on my sister to sell her jewels(which she bought from her mom’s place) and give qurbani
